UPDATE (November 19)
It has been confirmed that AB6IX’s Woojin will be taking a break from all activities following meniscectomy.
According to BNM’s official statement, Woojin actually ruptured his right knee cartilage and subsequently underwent surgery. The doctor has recommended that he rests and only focuses on rehabilitation for the time being.
We wish Woojin a speedy and full recovery!
UPDATE (November 16)
BrandNew Music issued an official statement, saying that Woojin has injured his right knee and will be receiving continuous treatment. He won’t attend AB6IX’s fansign or Twitter Blueroom event tomorrow, but the injury appears to be minor.
On November 16, AB6IX performed and won a Global Rookie Top 5 award at the 2019 VLIVE Awards “V HEARTBEAT”. They opened the ceremony with Park Woojin’s solo performance, followed by “Blind For Love” group stage.
However, after Woojin finished his powerful dance intro, he did not join the rest of the members to perform “Blind For Love” but was seen limping offstage with the help of staff. AB6IX’s agency BrandNew Music later stated that Woojin received first aid in the venue and was then taken to the hospital for more treatment. It seems that his ankle had not healed completely, as he felt sudden pain during the performance.
More information will be revealed once Woojin gets checked out, so stay tuned for updates.
