Stunning Performances At ‘2019 K-World Festa’ Day 2

After yesterday night’s first part of the 2019 K-World Festa Opening Ceremony (featuring performances by The Boyz, Kim Jae Hwan, A.C.E, Dreamcatcher, D1CE, Giant Pink, Jeong Sewoon, Park Bom, Weki Meki, 1THE9, and more), the audience at Seoul’s Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium was in for another spectacular show tonight, August 16.

Tonight’s MCs were Park Sooyoung (Girls’ Generation) and Kwon Yool, and the stellar line-up included talented soloists like Minseo, Hwang Chiyeul – who performed his hits “A Daily Song” and “The Only Star” – and Infinite’s Nam Woohyun, to name a few, hip hop artists Mommy Son and DJ DOC, and, of course, idol groups, such as Lovelyz, KARD, CLC, Golden Child, MONSTA X, Oh My Girl, JBJ95, NCT DREAM, and Red Velvet.

CLC were on fire during their performances of “No” and “Me”. MONSTA X wowed with their powerful performance of “Alligator” and the iconic “Shoot Out”, even though their main vocal Kihyun could not attend the festival due to injury. Oh My Girl‘s YooA was also injured, but she still managed to look and sound ethereal while sitting down during their performance.

NCT DREAM (minus Haechan, who is in Japan with NCT 127) took the stage in their jaw-dropping black outfits, featuring a sleeveless Jeno, freshly blond Jaemin, and purple-haired Jisung who sent NCTzens into a frenzy with his sultry expressions (young man, we are going to need you to calm down, thanks). They performed hit songs “Stronger” and “Boom” from the We Boom mini album. Check out the Dreamies’ short but sweet VLive after the concert!

The final stage belonged to the summer queens themselves: Red Velvet, who performed their most recent title track “Zimzalabim”, followed by “Power Up”. The girls looked happy and beautiful in their black outfits with rainbow glittery details. Their newest mini album The ReVe Festival Day 2 will drop soon, so we have another summer anthem to look forward to!

2019 K-World Festa continues next week with Soribada Music Awards (August 22–23), followed by the closing ceremony on Saturday, August 24. Stay tuned for future articles!
