On January 4, ATEEZ have made their debut at the prestigious Golden Disc Awards. The guys not only performed “Wonderland” and their upcoming lead single “Answer” but also won the Next Generation Award.
The group has previously won Worldwide Fans’ Choice at MAMA, the MTV EMA for Best Korean Act, and the Performance Award at the 2019 Soribada Best K-Music Awards, but this is the first “Korean Grammy” of their career.
In his acceptance speech, Hongjoong thanked KQ Entertainment, its CEO, the staff, and – of course – ATINY, who are ATEEZ’ stars. The leader concluded:
I know that some of you may not know us, so we’ll continue working hard in the new year. We will show you many good sides of us. I hope that you give us a lot of love.
Happy New Year! Thank you!
Congratulations to ATEEZ!
After receiving the award, the members performed in their regal burgundy outfits. They opened with WooSan’s stunning intro before moving onto the first part of “Answer” (which we had the chance to see in yesterday’s performance preview) and finally transitioning into “Wonderland”. ATEEZ set the stage on fire both figuratively and literally, and the big surprise of the night was Hongjoong’s dance break!
Check out the full performance below.
ATEEZ will be coming back with their fourth mini album, TREASURE EPILOGUE: Action To Answer, on January 6 at 6 pm KST. Are you ready?
