Chen Breaks His Own Records With ‘Dear my dear’

It has been 24 hours since Chen came back with his second mini album Dear my dear and he has already outdone himself!

The album has hit No. 1 on iTunes in 35 countries, breaking the record Chen set with April, and a flower, which achieved 34 top spots. Here is the list:

And, for the first time in his career as a soloist, Kim Jongdae has topped the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart!

Moreover, Chen’s second EP has sold 66,278 copies on Hanteo on its first day of release, surpassing his first mini album (over 40,250 copies sold on the first day). The current total of his sales on Hanteo is 88,765 copies.

The title track “Shall we?” had more than 500,000 unique listeners on the top Korean online streaming service Melon in the first 24 hours.

Although the situation on the charts has changed by now, Chen’s title track also hit No. 1 on Naver, but it was No. 2 on all other Korean music streaming services, as AKMU is still dominating domestic charts.
