Following the recent controversy surrounding Mnet and their survival show series, X1 and IZ*ONE have been affected and the groups’ performances might be cancelled.

Yesterday (Nov. 6), PD Ahn Joon Young was arrested for and has since admitted to manipulating the results of Produce 48 and Produce X 101 – the shows that gave birth to IZ*ONE and X1.

As of now, X1 are still planning to attend V LIVE Heartbeat Awards on November 16, but the group’s promotions and activities are far from being well-organized. On November 7 it was reported that X1 members are still promoting without a valid contract with CJ Entertainment. Back in 2018, IZ*ONE promoted for six months before all members signed a contract with the company, which left fans worried and wondering what kind of conditions the girls were working under.

While X1 haven’t been removed from the official lineup for Asian Artist Awards or the VLive awards, IZ*ONE were not that lucky. JTBC stated that they are currently discussing whether to air the new episode of Idol Room starring the group or not, and Mnet Japan announced that IZ*ONE’s comeback showcase as well as the release of their first full albumBLOOM*IZ , that was scheduled for November 11 – will be postponed.

As a response to the news, fans of both groups started trending hashtags on Twitter in support of X1 and IZ*ONE.

Both groups’ schedules are likely to change in the following days, so stay tuned for more updates.
