Joy Shows Love For Wendy Following Red Velvet’s First Concert As Four

Today, January 11, Red Velvet wrapped up the first “La Rouge” show without their main vocalist Wendy. The concert in Hiroshima had the same setlist as their Seoul concerts, with Wendy being featured either through recordings (a VCR of her “Light Me Up” stage was played instead of the live performance) or by Seulgi and Joy covering some of her parts in songs. Her message was also included on the confetti released at the venue.

However, Wendy’s absence was very much felt tonight – not only by ReVeluvs but also by her fellow members. And perhaps no one misses Red Velvet’s impeccable main vocalist more than her dongsaeng Joy.

After the concert, the girls took to Instagram to share some cute photos with their dancers, all sporting black jackets with “RED VELVET” written on them. Our Joy then went one step further by posting black and white pictures of Wendy and herself (on her IG Story) taken on the set of “Psycho” music video, decorated with heart emojis and the heartbreaking caption:

I miss our angel😢

Red Velvet are set to hold more concerts in Japan as four while Wendy recovers. Let’s hope that the group, and particularly WenJoy, is reunited soon!
