On September 24, Hankyung.Com, a subsidiary of The Korea Economic Daily newspaper, published an interview with SM Entertainment’s co-CEO Kim Youngmin in which he talked about the company’s sales and future plans.
According to the article, EXO will be coming back with their sixth LP in the second half of this year (presumably November or December)! Check out SM’s statement below.
Q: Your [SM’s] performance in the second quarter is not good. What are your plans for the second half of the year and next year?
KYM: (…) When EXO, NCT, and Red Velvet release their regular albums in the second half, there will be no problem with our annual sales growth. Next year, we will debut a new male and female idol group.
EXO-Ls, get ready for EXO’s first comeback with six members! Let’s hope that the boys get more than a couple of days of promotions this time around…
In case you missed it, the group will also release a new Japanese single on November 4. More on that here. And don’t forget to check the upcoming dates of the “EXO Planet #5 – EXplOration” tour as well as daily updates on Chen’s October comeback!
